Euliss Propane: A Favorite North Carolina Gas Company.

We’re proud of servicing central North Carolina for over seventy years. Since 1952, our locally owned gas company has been providing dependable propane delivery, high-quality customer service, and licensed appliance installation.   • 1952

    Lib and Seth Euliss founded Euliss Oil Company in Liberty, North Carolina. Euliss started by providing kerosene and fuel oil delivery service for the local community.

  • The Euliss family sells the company to John K. Stanley Jr., a Kinston, NC native and local banking officer.

    1975

  • 1976

    Exxon departs from the retail propane business and Euliss Oil Company purchases their delivery truck, tanks and equipment to continue to offer local propane service.

  • Over time, propane becomes the cleaner alternative to Kerosene and Fuel Oil for home heating. The business changes its name to Euliss Propane Company to reflect its new direction.

    1980s

  • 1996

    John’s son, Chris, joins the Euliss Propane team to help lead the company into the 21st century.

  • Euliss creates Price Protection Programs for residential and commercial customers. The Pre-Buy program and Budget program, both with Price Cap Insurance, protect customers from price spikes during the Winter season.

    2005

  • 2020

    In August 2020, Euliss invests in a new, modern propane software system. The new Euliss Customer Portal allows customers to make payments, request service and schedule deliveries, and makes delivery scheduling more efficient by tracking customer inventory and Heating Degree Days.

  • Euliss begins offering Tank Monitors that accurately track propane levels, make data accessible from any device and send mobile alerts when levels are low.

    2022

  • 2023

    Euliss creates discounted annual service contracts for tankless water heaters, gas logs and space heaters.

  • Euliss goes digital! All customers with an email address on file began receiving e-delivery tickets instead of paper tickets, bringing instant delivery details to our customers’ inboxes and providing even quicker, safer service from our drivers.

    2025

  • Present Day

Living Up To The Euliss Name.

Seth Euliss served in the military spending four years as a prisoner of war in WWII. Seth returned to his hometown of Liberty, NC as a local war hero. He and his wife Lib raised four children while both worked the third shift at Liberty Hosiery. Opening Euliss Oil Company allowed him to embrace his entrepreneurial spirit and spend more time with his family. Prior to purchasing Euliss Oil Company, John Stanley worked as a local banking officer while his wife Louise was an Elementary teacher at Liberty School. John, and his dedicated team of employees, worked hard to uphold the Euliss family name and maintain the reputation of Euliss Oil Co. in the community as a local family and business.
