At Euliss Propane, our team is like family, and we want you to get to know them just as well as we do! Today, we’re introducing you to one of our friendly Customer Service Representatives, Amy Johnson. Amy is the first face you see when you walk through our doors, and she’s always ready to help. We asked her 10 questions so you can learn more about the person behind the desk!

1. How long have you been at Euliss Propane?
Nine months—and they’ve flown by!
2. How many people are usually in the office?
On most days, we have about five people in the office. My desk is right at the front door, so I’m the first person customers see when they walk in. I make sure no one has to search for help!
3. What does a typical workday look like for you?
I answer phones, greet customers and take payments when people come in to pay in person. I make sure customers feel welcome and taken care of, whether they have a question, need assistance or just want to chat.
4. You have a background in a small family business. How has that shaped your work at Euliss?
I grew up working with my dad in our family’s auto repair shop for almost 15 years in Greensboro. That experience gave me a love for customer service and building relationships. Just like in our shop, customers at Euliss become like family, and I love being part of that!
5. What’s your favorite part about working at Euliss?
I love helping people, but I also love my coworkers. From Chris to the service guys, they are amazing, and it feels like working with family. It’s a great environment to be a part of! Seth Smith comes into the office daily to catch up with me.
6. What’s the most rewarding customer interaction you’ve had?
One of my favorites was with an older gentleman who came in upset about his delivery ticket. We got everything straightened out, and he left happy—only to walk back in a few minutes later. I was worried something was wrong, but instead, he said, “I came back to tell you about Jesus!” Then he saw my cross necklace and said, “Oh, you already know Him!” It was the sweetest moment. He even gave me a hug for being so kind to him.
7. What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Prioritizing what I need to get done! There’s always so much to do—answering phones, helping customers, handling service agreements—but we divide and conquer as a team. We always strive to call customers back the same day so they don’t feel like they have to chase us down. We want them to know we’re here for them!
8. Do customers really come in just to pay their bill?
Yes! A lot of our older customers like to stop by in person. They’ll make a whole outing of it—post office, lunch and a visit to Euliss to chat. I love it! My husband even jokes, “Who’s the new little old man you met today?” They’re just the sweetest.
9. What do you say when someone asks why they should choose Euliss Propane?
Customers can get propane anywhere, but other companies don’t have an Amy there! 😊
10. What’s your favorite vacation spot and favorite food?
Myrtle Beach in our camper! There’s nothing better than a beach trip with family and friends. But one day, I’d love to go on a Disney Cruise—a dream vacation on my bucket list! And my favorite food is definitely shrimp.
